The season of Advent -
a time of preparing to celebrate the Nativity,
when we recall Christ’s first coming.
As we remember so also
we look forward in faith
to the Second Coming at the end of time.
It is a period of joyful hope.
Like the season of Lent,
Advent encourages us to take some time
to reflect and pray.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
FOR ADVENTWe encourage you to prepare for Christmas by attending the Sacrament of Reconciliation on one of the following evenings:
St Joseph’s Clarkston,
Monday, 5th December at 7pm.
St Cadoc’s,
Thursday, 8th December at 7pm.
All priests of the Deanery will be available for confession on those evenings.

ADVENT WREATH
- The 1st Sunday of Advent symbolizes Hope with the "Prophet’s Candle" reminding us that Jesus is coming.
- The 2nd Sunday of Advent symbolizes Faith with the "Bethlehem Candle" reminding us of Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem.
- The 3rd Sunday of Advent symbolizes Joy with the "Shepherd’s Candle" reminding us of the Joy the world experienced at the coming birth of Jesus.
- The 4th Sunday of Advent symbolizes Peace with the "Angel’s Candle" reminding us of the message of the angels: “Peace on Earth, Good Will Toward Men.”
ADVENT LITURGIES in ST. CADOC'S
2022
You are invited to participate in a Marian service
Monday to Friday at 9.30am
to prepare for the celebration of the Nativity of the Lord.
The service will consist of Adoration, Rosary and Reflection on the Liturgy of the Day.
This would be an ideal ideal opportunity for you to take time out of your busy schedule and prepare spiritually for the great Solemnity of the Lord’s birth.
