The theme for the tenth World Meeting of Families is "Family love: vocation and a path to holiness."
PROGRAMME:

Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 June: the Pastoral Congress
Saturday afternoon: Mass in
St Peter's Square, presided over by the Pope

Pope Francis' views on Love,
Marriage and Family Life.
Come and learn more about the beautiful vision of God's plan for human love, marriage and family life contained in Pope Francis' Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia.
To participate in the special year devoted to this exhortation, a series of 5 evenings explaining and exploring this vision begins on Thursday 17th February in St. Mirin's Cathedral hall from 7.30pm.
Specially recorded videos by Pope Francis will be followed by short presentations on the exhortation, along with opportunities for discussion and questions, and a chance to socialise over refreshments. The evening should finish around 9pm.
Everyone interested is most welcome to any or all of these evenings. In order to manage social distancing and catering, please register at

MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSES 2022
We are pleased to confirm dates for Marriage Preparation courses in 2022.
Each course will consist of two 90-minute Zoom sessions and one 3-hour workshop, which will be held in the Diocesan centre or Cathedral Hall, depending on numbers.
We piloted this format in September of 2021 with very positive feedback. Should any of these arrangements require amendment due to Covid restrictions we will inform you and the couples of any changes directly.
Couples should register via the Marriage and Family page on the Diocesan website, or by using this link:
https://rcdop.org.uk/marriage-preparation-day-registration-form
The cost for the course per couple is £30 which includes an information pack, CTS booklet ‘Cherish your wedding’ and refreshments during the workshop.
Once couples have registered we will contact them directly regarding attendance at the course and will send them a certificate of completion.

“The goal of this preparation consists, namely, in helping engaged couples to know and to live the reality of marriage as it is intended to be celebrated, so that it is possible to do so
not only validly and lawfully, but also fruitfully,
so that they are able to make this celebration a stage of their journey of faith.”
Pope Francis
