Vocations and Ecclesiastical Students – 30th April 2023 This collection pays for our Paisley seminarians studying in Rome. Currently we have one student whose seminary fees are £20,000 per year. As well as supporting our seminarians this collection goes to the upkeep of our Scots College in Rome that welcomes many visitors from Scotland as a place of hospitality for Scots in Rome.
Sunday 14th May 2023 Join families from throughout the Diocese in St. John’s, Barrhead for an afternoon of celebration and fun in honour of Mary our Mother, including prayer, activity and games for children. The day will begin with refreshments at 2pm and conclude with Holy Mass at 4pm celebrated by Bishop John.
DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY CELEBRATION on Sunday 16 April at 4p.m. in St Mary’s Church, Paisley. You are invited to celebrate this Feast Day with Bishop John Keenan, Monsignor Joe Burke, Fr Michael Kane and Fr Chido Ezeribe. There will be a Holy Hour at 4 p.m. led by Fr Michael Kane. Confessions will be available during the Holy Hour and then Holy Mass will be celebrated after the Holy Hour by Bishop John Keenan at 5 p.m. In one of the most extraordinary homilies of his pontificate, Pope John Paul II repeated three times that Saint Faustina is "God's gift to our time." She made the message of Divine Mercy the "bridge to the third millennium." All are welcome.

Bishop John is delighted to announce that he has appointed Fr Daniel Fitzpatrick as Diocesan Chancellor, effective from the Wednesday of Holy Week. He also thanks Fr Eoin Patten for his work as Chancellor for the past nine years. There are a number of changes within the Commissions and Episcopal Council. Canon Danny McLoughlin demits office as the Moderator of the Communications Commission and remains as the Press Spokesman for the Diocese; Fr Ryan Black becomes VE for Communications and the Moderator of the Commission. Canon David Boyd demits office as VE for Evangelisation to focus on Priestly Formation; Canon Jim Duggan becomes VE for Evangelisation
