starts again today, Sunday 1st June, 4pm - 5.30pm.  New members in S1 – S3 are encouraged to come along with their friends to enjoy an afternoon of fun.  All welcome.

on Sunday 15th June from 2.30 pm - 5.00pm in the Church grounds. Tickets now on sale priced at: Adults: £7.00 and Child: (over 3 years) £3.00 - the price of the ticket includes: burgers/hot-dogs, ice-cream, soft drinks, tea-room, and all the activities on offer (games, arts & crafts, music etc).  Why don't you treat your Dad/Grandpa to a fun afternoon; they might even want to take part in our 'throw the welly' competition! The only thing you would be asked to buy on the day would be raffle tickets, and stand-up bingo tickets, if you wished.   It is anticipated that tickets will be in high demand; therefore, please bring your cash with you next weekend to secure your tickets!  The Committee are looking for volunteers to assist with the setting-up and organisation of this event.  If you are interested in being involved, please contact Catherine Senior for further information: email: [email protected] or mobile: 07555 094304.  Donations of home baking and for our raffle will be gratefully received too. Further details to follow.  The funds generated from this event, like all Social Committee events, will go to the Diocesan Ecclesiastic Students Fund.  Many thanks.

The final Mass of the season will be offered in the Holy Rosary Residence, Greenock, on Friday 6th June at 7pm; Adoration & Confession from 6pm.

Last Mass for this season will be celebrated on Wednesday 25th June at 6pm in St. Mirin’s. Please note: there is no monthly Mass in July and August. The new season begins on Wednesday 24th September.

Advance notice: MP Blair McDougall and MSP Paul Kane, opponents of the Assisted Dying Bill, want to give constituents who are concerned about assisted dying an opportunity to meet with them to discuss the legislation and what can be done to oppose it. They will be holding a meeting in St John’s Church in Barrhead. Details of the meeting to follow soon.

The next Mass will be on Wednesday 28th May at 7pm in St Mirin’s Cathedral, celebrated by Monsignor Joe Burke. It is the Vigil Mass for the Feast of the Ascension of Our Blessed Lord. All are welcome. Please note: there is no monthly Mass in July and August. The next monthly Mass will be on Wednesday 24 September at 6 p.m.

The Diocesan Youth Commission invites children in P4-P7 to a Pentecost Retreat Day on Sunday 8th June from 1.45pm-5pm. The theme is The Glorious Mysteries of the Holy Rosary. The Retreat takes place in St James’ church and halls on Greenock Road in Paisley (PA3 2LD). It will include Holy Mass. A light dinner will be provided. The pre-pilgrimage meeting will be held in St Ninian's Hall, Gourock on Sunday 8th June at 2pm. This is an opportunity meet fellow pilgrims and find out information regarding the pilgrimage. You can also ask any questions you may have. We would recommend that you attend or send a representative to the meeting. Also a reminder that all pilgrims are asked to make their own way to Glasgow airport for the commencement of the pilgrimage.

Sunday 18th May - St Francis', Port Glasgow: Bishop John and the Marriage, Family, and Life Commission warmly invite you to join families throughout the Diocese for an afternoon of celebration & fun in honour of Mary, our Mother! The day will begin at 2 pm in St Francis of Assisi - Port Glasgow parish hall and will include prayer, games, activities for children and refreshments for all. We will conclude with Holy Mass at 4pm, celebrated by Bishop John.

Bishop John Keenan warmly invites all engaged and married couples, along with their families and friends, to St Mirin's Cathedral Paisley on Sunday 15th June, The Solemnity of The Most Holy Trinity, to celebrate the gift of marriage!
