“Our recent activities include providing a May Lunch for parishioners. We have also assisted a family and their adult son who has significant health issues, towards more independent living. We now have a third twinning parish in South Africa. We have given financial support to St Vincent’s Hospice, SSVP Furniture Project, Jericho House - addiction issues, and Rosalie Rendue (SPRED). We have also given financial support to individuals experiencing difficulties with the cost-of-living crisis. We continue to visit various nursing homes and make domestic visits. We also help out at The Wayside club once a month. Please contact us if you need any help or know someone you think may need help. All matters are treated in the strictest confidence. We can only do this work through your generosity, which is greatly appreciated.” Rosaleen Smith Would you like to join St. Cadoc’s SSVP? We counted just over £970 in the SSVP Boxes. An excellent result! We will top it up to £1000 and add a further £1000 from our existing funds. A cheque for £2000 will be sent to SCIAF on behalf of St. Cadoc's Parishioners.
“We continue to carry out regular Home Visits to our parishioners, telephone contacts and visits to our local Nursing Homes. Through TWINNING, we help to support two very poor Parish Conferences in India. They are so grateful for our donations and I have attached correspondence and photos from these projects.(See SSVP page on Parish web) In September we hosted an Autumn Lunch for forty parishioners which was a great success. In November we donated £1000 to three of our Special Works Projects - St Vincent’s Hospice, Jericho House (which helps and assists those with Addiction Issues) and Emergency Relief to those in need. We are now planning to host a Christmas Lunch in early December. SSVP would like to thank everyone who supports us thus allowing us to support others in great need”.
