Please pray for the continued success of our schools, for all work in them and all our pupils.
Thank you to the staff, teaching and non-teaching, who work hard in our schools to educate our children and nurture and develop them in the ways of faith."
Canon Eddie
A THOUGHT FOR EXAMINEES:
“When you are dealing with something difficult and wonder where God is,
trust in The Lord;
He is always at your side. Remember, the teacher needs to be quiet during a test
but is willing you to succeed.” Anon
Please remember in your prayers all our pupils and students who are sitting exams. We wish them every success.

POPE FRANCIS' AWARD
CARITAS
O Angel of God, my guardian dear.
To whom God’s love commits me here. Ever this day be at my side.
To light and guard,
to rule and guide.
Amen.
Catholic schools have always made an enormous effort during Lent to support SCIAF and Missio, both official charities of the Scottish Bishops. We appreciate that many families will be struggling because of the impact of Covid on their livelihoods, but we would ask you to support these charities given the loss of income they suffered in 2020 when schools and churches were closed.
I am grateful to those schools and parishes who are following the Diocesan Education Department’s Twitter page https://twitter.com/DoPEducation1.
Please follow us so that we can share the many good things relating to the Catholic life of your school. Similarly, please consider sharing significant aspects of the faith life of your school as Case Studies. As a Diocesan Family of Schools, we can all learn from each other. We are grateful to those schools that have provided Case Studies on SSVP (Mini Vinnies and Senior Vinnies) and Values in this edition.

A PRAYER FOR EDUCATORS
"We pray that educators may be credible witnesses, teaching fraternity rather than confrontation and helping the youngest and most vulnerable above all." Pope Francis
The Holy Father asks that educators add new content to their teaching: fraternity, a key ingredient in the search for a world that is closer to those who are most vulnerable.
