Inaugural Family Mass for the ‘Amoris Laetitia’ Family Year
Bishop John celebrated a livestreamed Mass for families to mark the beginning of this special year proclaimed by Pope Francis on Sunday 21st March 2021.
This year begins on the Feast of St. Joseph, which is the 5-year anniversary of the publication of Pope Francis’ Apostolic exhortation on the Joy of Love in the family and runs until the 10th World meeting of families in Rome 22- 26 June 2022. Various initiatives will take place throughout the year to encourage and support spouses, parents and families in their vocation to be a 'domestic church' where the light and joy of the Gospel is passed on and shared with others.
Come and give thanks for the gift of our families.

40 DAYS for LIFE
ANNUAL VIGIL 2022
This Lent the 40 Days for Life prayer group in Scotland will hold its annual vigil outside the maternity unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow.
From Ash Wednesday 2nd March until Palm Sunday 10th April; 8am - 8pm daily the site will be manned daily.
As you can imagine this is a big undertaking, but we have managed to do it for the past five years. Today I ask you to join the Pro Life cause by signing up for a slot during the 40 days – come hail, rain or shine. Usually, people give an hour of their time when we say the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries.
We have placards if you want one – my favourite is from Jeremiah “ Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” We do get hassle from time to time from passing motorists, but we also get support.
